Product Description The problem may not always be the chime. A doorbell system is made up of four components - a doorbell chime, a push button, a transformer, and the wiring, all of which are connected together (refer to the wiring diagrams below). If there is an issue with the chime, it may or may not be the source of the problem. Check below under “Troubleshooting” for common issues and troubleshooting tips. TWO SOUNDS: Classic two-note “Ding Dong” sound for the front door button, with an additional connection for a separate "Dong" for the rear or side door.
